Stuart Knox
Ink black at the core, deep ruby red to the rim. Blood plums, smoking brisket and candied violets on the nose. Deep and powerful, plum and blueberry fruits are still dense and vibrant on the palate with layers of sweet spices and subtle meaty undertones filling in as it glides along. Tannins are there, integrated perfectly to the fruit flow; they lift and drive without any appearance of effort but that belies their intensity. The finish is immense when it eventually arrives. Dark fruits still sing with harmonies of leather, game meats and dark spices all lifting it to another plane. At seven years of age it is still in its youth, but that time has been well spent, bringing harmony and a seamlessness to the wine. You’ll be rewarded for your patience now, but no rush, there are many more facets to be revealed in the years to come if you can wait
