Deep ruby-red colour with a hint of brick-red in the rim. Bay leaf, red berries and earth aromas. Bright forward fruit with a layer of dry earth savoury underneath. The tannins have some grip and there’s a weight and intensity on the palate, yet it sits lightly and quite refined. Time will allow this to build more layers of complexity

Both the chardonnay and pinot noir off this site seem out of sorts this vintage. It's sinewy and tight. This has more new oak barrels (30%) than the other single sites and it shows. Astringent, hard across the palate and tough to love. Drink to 2027.
