Medium ruby core, a touch of brick-red in the rim. Savoury nose, black cherries, undergrowth and sarsaparilla spices. Medium to full-bodied. Intense black cherry with a cola and spice character that speaks of high-quality oak. Built with layers of complexity and then polished beautifully. Great length and drive. Time will allow more personality to shine

While there's only 15% whole bunches in the mix, they certainly make a mark. This comes out fresh, tangy, sappy and sinewy. The fragrance is heady with a good mix of spices and red morello cherries. The palate is harder work, taut with firm tannins and a bitter edge to the finish. Perhaps more time is needed for this to unfurl. Drink to 2028.
