Huon Hooke
Deep-ish red with a good tint of purple and aromas of dark plum to dark cherry, a more earthbound, more terrestrial aroma, if you like. The palate is full and rich, bold and less detailed than some Bindi pinots, almost a bit dry red-ish in the sense that it lacks the degree of fine pinosity that is a Bindi hallmark. Still, a very good pinot, more Chambertin than Chambolle. There is dark cherry there, when you go looking for it.
