Huon Hooke
Medium depth ruby with purple tints, the bouquet herbal and spicy with lavender overtones to the red cherry and blueberry fruits, and a curious note of wormwood. In the mouth it has good fruit intensity and a firm spine of tannin, the persistence carried by its tannin structure. This calls for food.

Made from 45 to 55-year-old vines, and it shows! Unfortunately, due to the vintage, only two barrels were made. A gorgeous wine from the outset, this is seductive and perfumed with aromas of red fruits intermingled with violets, jasmine and a little forest floor just starting to emerge. A subtle touch of wood-derived sweet spice, too. As good on the palate it is an essay in elegance. Delicate and refined but equally this has depth and persistence. No one who manages to get their hands on a bottle will be disappointed. Drink to 2030.
