Huon Hooke
(1500ml magnum - $145.00) Good, deep, dark colour with appropriate hue for its age, but the bouquet is a touch muffled, muted, and has a tarry, bituminous note. Some black olive and earthy notes, too. The palate is good: rich and smooth, with fleshy density and line. Long and high extract, with ample powdery tannins and a satisfying finish. This has real touch of style. The nose is just a bit subdued.

96 Points James Halliday
Like its Barossa twin, has very good colour, and shares its texture and structure; here, though, the blackberry and licorice fruit swells on the back-palate, denoting its somewhat cooler origins. High quality cork. Drink to 2020.
