Stuart Knox
Deep ruby core to a brick-red rim, almost opaque at the centre. Dried blueberry, black coffee, leather, and a touch of cola on the nose. Loads of black fruit at the front, still quite fresh considering its age. Then the bottle-matured savoury elements build, with coffee, leather, roasting meats, and a touch of medicinal iodine as a high note. Tannins have a fine gravel consistency, allowing it to flow to a long and drying finish. It still has life ahead of it but is in a good spot now between youth and maturity.
