Deep, bright red-purple colours, with a fresh herb and licorice/aniseed aroma, bitter herbs galore, plum pips too. The wine seems to have both under and overripe characteristics. It's full and plush on palate with a sweet-and-sour feel. It's quite raw and aggro, the alcohol and overripe characters distracting.
