An absolutely gorgeous bouquet from the very first sniff: fragrant cherry fruit, hints of spices, very lifted and detailed and utterly charming. The palate doesn't disappoint: intense, concentrated, powerful and long. Finesse and persistence: a superb pinot noir.

My, my, what a wine with its depth and structure as much as its beauty and ethereal qualities. While there are the usual dark cherries and heady aromas of baking spices, there’s very much a savoury edge to this. Fuller bodied with an abundance of richness and stately raw-silk tannins. This is complex, superbly balanced and built to last a long time. But gee, it's compelling now. Drink 2024 - 2037.
