Huon Hooke
Medium-light straw-yellow; mixed spices and nutty barrel ferment overtones. the palate soft and rounded yet also discreet and refined, flavours of honey roasted nuts and hot buttery croissant. The wine is almost opulent in its fruit richness, enhanced by a trace of apparent sweetness. A delicious full-frontal white with the generosity to go with poultry. (This vintage is a blend of roussanne, marsanne, grenache blanc and viognier, fermented in oak and aged on yeast lees for 6 months)

White Duck is a regional blend, with grapes coming from 5 different vineyards across the region. Having different sites to make this wine allows us the luxury of picking certain parcels to compliment the others, depending on how the season is playing out. The Roussanne and Marsanne are generally picked to give the wine generosity of flavour and aroma, the Grenache Blanc for lifting acidity naturally, and Viognier for texture and density. White Duck is a very serious wine, that can be cellared for many years. It will become fuller and richer over time, with honey and toasty notes intertwining with the fruit.
Bright yellow in colour. Hugely complex aromas of ripe peach, cumquat, hints of grilled nuts and brioche. Lots of mixed fruits. The palate is savoury and offers flavours of ripe stone fruit, lemon zest, and subtle tropical notes with a rich, creamy texture and a long, mineral-driven finish.13.7% Vol. Recommended drinking window from now and to 2035 depending on your cellaring conditions. Best serving temperature of 10-12°C.
