Still has some good red in the colour; meat stock bouquet; full bodied and robust, very deep and plush, concentration and weight and structure; a superb wine which is still relatively youthful. Tremendous length, too. An outstanding wine.

Medium to full red-purple; an unusually complex array of aromas with some floral/scented overtones and then more traditional and firmer earthy/blackberry/bitter chocolate characters. The palate is firm, almost austere in the context of the Henschke style, with fine tannins and underplayed oak. Drink to 2010.
