Medium red-purple, but showing a little more development than one would expect. The bouquet has a distinct touch of cinnamon spice, together with subtle oak. The palate is pleasant, with gently spicy fruit, but lacks the concentration of the '96 and '95 vintage wines. Drink to 2005.
