94 Points James Halliday
Medium to full red-purple; announces its presence from the first whiff which greets you as the wine is poured in the glass and before you have even begun to lift it, so powerful, rich and sweet is it. Undoubtedly in the battleship class, but you cannot fault the abundance of ripe berry and chocolate fruit, sumptuous tannins and the controlled use of the American oak cannon. Two trophies, National Wine Show 1999. Drink to 2010.
