Full red-purple; concentrated briary/berry fruit, a fuller and sweeter version of the '90. The palate is rich and ripe with masses of chocolate and dark berry fruit, finishing with soft, lingering tannins. Far better than any Pyrus which preceded it. Drink to 2001.
