Ranked #9 of 17 2006 Shiraz from Coonawarra
Medium red, slight purple. Earthy developed nose, savoury, mellow, lacks primary fruit. Palate taut and intense, lean and searing, with lively acid. Piercingly intense, long finish and slight hardness. Lacks a bit in freshness, but it's all about character and complexity. A very good drink.
95 Points James Halliday
Dense colour; the rich bouquet of black fruits and quality oak is replicated on the palate, which is stylish and intense, extract and alcohol perfectly balanced. Drink to 2026.
