Huon Hooke
Exceptional vintage. Deep, dark red/purple colour. Wonderful perfume of mint and spices, cherries and violets. A trace of mocha. Tremendous intensity of flavour, vibrant and high-energy, filling the mouth with flavour and a very long lingering aftertaste. A full-bodied wine with masses of tannins, but they're superbly ripe, soft, balanced tannins that run the length of the palate. Somehow, it all manages to be in superb harmony. Has a great future.

97 Points Robert Parker
Deep garnet-purple colored, the 2006 Hill of Grace has some oak poking through the red and blue fruit aromas, with underlying toast, marmite and sage hints. Medium to full-bodied, it is a very tight knit and youthful wine with crisp acid, medium to firm, finely grained tannins and a long finish. Drink it 2014 to 2030+.

97 Points James Halliday
Bright red-purple; highly fragrant spice, cedar, red and black berry aromas, oak evident but not excessive; it has a silky, velvety texture and mouthfeel to a beautifully balanced medium-bodied palate brimming with black fruits; wonderful length and finish. Surely one of the best Hill of Graces. Shiraz. Drink to 2026.
