Medium full red, some purple. Mellow and more leafy, vegetal Margaret River aromas; some development. Some mocha oakiness. Quite firm, aggressive tannins, not well balanced and too astringent for the flavour and fruit weight. Very chewy. Will surely improve with age, but I can't see it as a classic, or top Mentelle cabernet at this stage.

One of the big four senior citizens of the , making distinguished and authoritative wines such as this, with blackcurrant, black olive, cedar and earth all intermingling on the long, medium- to full-bodied palate. Drink to 2027.
James Halliday. August, 2022
Very deep garnet-purple in color, this 2007 Cabernet has intense aromas of warm blackberries, cassis, bay leaf, cloves, cinnamon and dusty earth. Full bodied and rich in the mouth, it has a medium-firm level of fine tannins and a long finish.Source: Robert Parker (In Asia) January, 2011 by Lisa Perrotti-Brown
