Huon Hooke
Very dark, deep colour, still with plenty of purple tints. The bouquet is mocha and prune, very ripe blackberry, super-ripe and very rich, the palate very full-bodied and dense, with lashings of tannins and alcohol warmth, tending spirity on the aftertaste. A very big wine that is starting to show mellow, matured touches and drink very well. A massive vintage of this wine in a style that is now a bit dated at Kaesler.

Deep red-purple; definitely and definitively in the biggest is best school of thought and practice; from the single vineyard planted in 1893, and crammed with ripe black fruits, ripe tannins and oak, almost suffocating in its density. Drink to 2030.
