Huon Hooke
Very deep, dark purple colour: looks like it's on steroids. Impressive! Raw and rather dense, closed aroma of toasty oak and compact, super-ripe blackberry. Very, very tannic and chewy. Thick and harsh. I could not drink this yet: it's just far too young and unready. A rare, mooing steak is needed.

Deep garnet-purple in color, the old vine 2010 Shiraz Filsell offers blackberry preserves and blueberry pie notes over chocolate, licorice and menthol. Full-bodied, rich and structured by firm levels of fine tannins, it is supported by very crisp acid and a long, blackberry-laced finish. Drink it now to 2020+.

Strong crimson-purple; the combination of a great vintage, controlled alcohol, a 90-year-old vineyard and screwcap present a luscious shiraz that is as seductive today as it will be in 20 years. Drink to 2030.
