Deep red/purple colour, very good hue. Intense fruit and oak aromas with a lick of peppermint as the grace note. Notable coconut aromas from oak. Very fresh and vibrant in the mouth, with firm tannins and minty notes adding freshness and brightness. The tannins are ample and firm, but balanced, and the finish long. A very fine, striking cabernet with a big future, just needing more time.

Has a similar ProCork issue to the Cabernet Sauvignon. The grapes were hand-picked and received a long post-fermentation maceration on skins, extracting every bit of flavour and tannins from those skins. The wine spent 19 months in new, top quality, barriques from top cooperages. The final judgement on this wine can't be made until it is at least 10 years old (ProCork permitting), when the issue of the oak balance can be resolved. Right now, it seems too much of a good thing; hopefully, time will prove otherwise. Drink to 2030.
