Huon Hooke
Clean, fresh and restrained, fairly simple bouquet, with a herbal note. Its very delicate, restrained, refreshing and easy going. A very drinkable wine, but not especially complex. Don't look for a big, buxom chardonnay here! It's reserved.

Sourced primarily from a high altitude Tumbarumba vineyard, plus small amounts from Clonakilla and one other Murrumbateman vineyard; whole bunch-pressed, warm-fermented, lees-stirred, and 11 months maturation in French oak. Brightly coloured, it focuses as much on texture and structure as on varietal fruit, but not at the expense of white flesh stone fruit and green apple flavours; natural acidity has been carefully protected. Drink to 2019.
