Deepish red colour, with strong purple tints. The aromas of plum and background chocolate, with a hint of violet, are appealing. It's smooth and dense in the mouth, with chocolate flavours and soft powdery tannins. A fleshy, nicely textured, full-bodied shiraz in a conventional ripe style. Perhaps not as cool or spicy as this wine usually is, but very good.
