Deep, intense, bright, purple/red colour. Pepper and mineral, ironstone aromas, the palate firm and lively with more than a little astringency. The finish has a lot of grip as well as length. Lively, firm, full of pizzazz. Solid, with a core of sweet fruit. Needs more time.
