Ranked #17 of 35 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon from McLaren Vale
89/100
3.5 Stars
Huon Hooke
Very youthful, deep purple/red colour, which stains the glass; a bouquet of violets and essency dark-berries. The palate is slightly raw and strident with keen acidity and a certain harshness. This is astringent, slightly callow and needs time. It's quite unready today.

97 Points James Halliday
From the four coolest districts of McLaren Vale; matured for 18 months in French barriques (20% new), usual rack and returns. Vivid hue; this is a beautifully weighted and structured, medium-bodied cabernet, showing how much synergy can be generated between place and variety; pure cassis fruit has the finest line of tannin support imaginable, line and length perfect. Drink to 2043.
