Huon Hooke
Deep dark colour with a tint of purple. Smoky, toasty, earthy and leathery aromas, plus some dried bayleaf. It's a wine of character and depth, showing full-body and dense flavour, ample smooth tannins and long carry. Power, density and great peristence. Impressive wine.

Composed of Shiraz 60%, Mataro 25% and Grenache 15%, the 2010 Heinrich Shiraz Mataro Grenache has a medium to deep garnet color and exudes aromas of dried mulberries and red plum preserves with hints of Provencal herbs, black and white pepper and dusty earth. It is a highly structured style of wine with a firm foundation of grainy tannins and very crisp acid freshness to frame muscular fruit flavors through a very good, persistent finish. Drink it now to 2017+.

Bright crimson-purple; what a pleasure to taste this blend at such a modest alcohol level, which has provided the vibrant and fresh display of plum, spice and fragrant red fruits variously contributed by the components, with some very old vines providing part of the wine. Drink to 2025.
