An impressive showing, the 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon Art Series is deep garnet-purple in color with menthol, dried herbs, creme de cassis and black forest cake notes. The palate possesses a medium to full-body with good concentration and a firm, chewy structure and great freshness, finishing long and pure.

20% hand-picked, 80% machine-harvested, destemmed, cultured yeast, matured for 21 months in French oak (40% new). The headline, the main text and the footnotes all say one thing and one thing only: purity. And I suppose I should add elegance. They simply don't come better in this mode. Drink to 2042.

With fragrant rose petal perfume over a crunchy core of black- and redcurrant fruit, this is a honed and tangy release with a refreshing grace and elegance unusual in this warm season. It displays more prominent acidity and finer tannins than many, too, making for an elegant and enduring style. Oak is well balanced and will appreciate time to fully integrate. A great Art Series of magnificent persistence and effortless poise. Drink 2027 - 2037.
