Deep, dark red colour with just a trace of purple, while the bouquet is extremely oaky, savoury, forward-developed and lacks fruit expression. There's an even more oaky statement on the palate and finish. It's rich and chocolaty on the other hand. A full-bodied, soft, fleshy McLaren Vale regional style. It needs age for the oak to mellow out. It's a relic of the oak-driven bygone age.
