Ranked #119 of 124 2014 Shiraz from Barossa Valley
A highly concentrated, almost syrupy wine, with hints of liquorice and a strong green vein. Rich black fruits, integrated acidity and soft tannins. Many will love this bold and concentrated wine. Though I must confess that the liquorice and crushed herb overlay is not to my taste

Popped and poured, the 2014 Eduard Old Vine Shiraz delivers an avalanche of combined savory and fruity notes, ranging from asphalt, black olives and grilled meat to blueberries and blackberries. Give it some time in the glass, or a splash in a decanter, and it settles down a bit, but it still retains that tension, just in a more sedate, civilized fashion. It's a full-bodied, richly layered Barossa Shiraz that deserves plenty of attention from consumers able to track some down.
