Ranked #1 of 95 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon from Western Australia
Very deep, dark, dense colour and a concentrated cassis bouquet, some chocolate; the palate firm and almost astringent with lively tannins and a deal of grip. Acidity is vibrant, too. The wine is young and tight and demands more time. Long term. This could be a stand-out in time. Very impressive

93 Points Robert Parker
After 20 months in 60% new French oak, the 2013 Abercrombie Cabernet Sauvignon is noticeably cedary and vanilla scented on the nose but that element is balanced by layers of cassis fruit on the palate. It's medium to full-bodied with bold flavors that are framed by firm tannins which have aging in mind. A bit tight and youthful even almost five years after the vintage, this wine should age glacially under screw cap and only approach maturity in five years or so.
