Deepish red colour with a tint of purple. The bouquet is subtly spicy and gently red fruited, and this flows through onto the palate where it is understated and discreet, with fine-grained tannins which are superbly harmonised. This is a very elegant, finely crafted and slightly shy wine which grows on you as you sip. It should also reward ageing.
