Ranked #64 of 125 2008 Shiraz from Eden Valley
Medium to full red colour, slight purple. Raspberry and crushed-leafy, peppery aromas, fresh and just a little green. Palate is lean and just a touch skeletal, with a dip in the middle. Slightly disjointed, but has weight, flavour and presence. Some cool-grown indications. Just a tad austere: possibly borderline ripeness. Very Eden Valley.
Drink: 2012 to 2020
94 Points James Halliday
Deep crimson; a bright and fragrant shiraz, showing fresh blackberry and a strap of licorice and roasted game; the palate is lively, medium-bodied, fresh and fine; ready for consumption at any time. Drink to 2018.
