95 Points James Halliday
Cabernet sauvignon, malbec and shiraz from 1919 and '75 plantings on the Eastern and Central Vineyards. A nigh-on perfect vintage for this blend, particularly the two headline components, the shiraz falling into line without even a hint of displeasure. The result is a medium-bodied wine with cassis and red berries offset by some blackberry building complexity and complementing the cabernet tannins. Drink to 2045.
