90 Points Robert Parker
Very deep garnet colored with a touch of remaining purple, the 2013 Descendent has notes of black plums, blackberries and charcoal with touches of cedar, earth and dried Provence herbs. Full-bodied and full-on in the mouth, the behemoth of a wine offers a lot of black fruit and earthy flavors with just a touch of disappointing hardness to the tannins in the finish. It nonetheless has a lot to offer for those with a big-Shiraz craving.
