Great showing, as expected. Not as complex as the rock star 1998 but offering possibly more gravitas and purity of fruit. A shining light of what good Aussie cabernet can be. Still youthful and fresh with balance and length equal to the old world’s best. Should last for eons.

Drink it at New Year Celebration. This special vintage was an absolutely star and I couldn't believe the effort made by Moss Wood. We opened the wine and decanted the wine for about an hour and the wine was so beautiful. It was so well balance with exceptionally long aftertaste. We love every drop of it and I believe the 1996 was the best Moss Wood Cab S I ever had before. It is hard to find and guys - Drink now!!
