Allandale Matthew Shiraz 2006

A food wine to be sure. Medium bodied, full of ripe red and slightly sweet raspberry/cherry notes with a sharply contrasting acidity cutting through - presumably due to the viognier. ALV is 13% and oak is in balance. Overall a pretty decent expression of Hunter Valley Shiraz.
